HOLY APOSTLES FERIAL CHAPEL
The project addresses an in-depth study of the themes of sacred architecture through the arrangement of a small liturgical space. Sacred furnishings define the presbytery space in the angular form, structuring the composition from the altar. The altar and ambo are volumes of essential geometry, shaped by the organic grooves that soften their formal rigor. The celebrant’s seat occupies the corner behind the altar, and is emphasized by the vertical panel marking the edge between the walls. The particular arrangement of the pews, arranged reciprocally at a 90-degree angle, places the worshipper in a diagonal position with respect to the altar and lateral with respect to the other worshippers, to communicate a sense of sharing and participation in the liturgy, also emphasized by the proximity of the pews to the presbytery area.
