[:en]Among the areas of interest in which Comoglio Architects has been active for some time is product design, understood in its broadest extension, from concept definition, development and prototyping, following the design process through to production. Design is considered a field of application closely related to architectural design, not only in what concerns interior design and furniture, but especially in imagining how individual objects interact with the built space and the surrounding environment. <\/p>\n

Among the products the Turin-based architectural firm has designed in recent years are several lines dedicated to communication and directional signage, developed for the Flex company, which include directional signs and marquee columns. Blow is the first line to be produced, and involves a modular system of shaped blocks onto which a rotatable arrow is grafted, in a customizable color. The three-dimensionality of the sign, which seems to inflate like a bubble, guides us within the environments through a simple and effective orientation. Next, two solutions of marquee columns were developed, both characterized by expressive shapes and multitasking capabilities in the different configurations the system can take. <\/p>\n

The Comoglio Architetti Torino studio has distinguished itself in numerous competitions designed to define innovative products. In 2009 he was mentioned in the competition organized by Biffi Luce “L’arte di illuminare l’arte” with an idea for a modular modular lamp capable of creating branching compositions on the ceiling or wall.
\nIn the same year he received third prize in the competition “Matitalia 150\u00b0” for Fila, with an idea for a magnetized pencil that makes it a playful and interactive object.
\nIn 2011 he won second place in the “laqualit\u00e0elostile” competition for WTS Group by imagining a mixer model in which the spout has dynamic features.
\nAt the present time, the Turin-based architectural firm is working on several projects related to product design. For the company Fim it is working out a model of a sun umbrella in the type of velarium and retractable umbrella, at the same time it is developing several prototypes of wall clocks. <\/p>\n

    [:en]Across the various fields in which Comoglio Architects is involved, product design has a central role: design intended in its wide range, from the conceptual phase, to the projectual definition and prototyping, till to industrial production.<\/p>\n

    Design is meant as an applied field closely related to architecture, not only as regards the interior design and furnishings, but for everything that concerns an interaction between objects and the environment around.<\/p>\n

    Among the products the architectural firm based in Turin has developped in recent years, it is worth mentioning some product lines dedicated to wayfinding and communication signposting, made for Flex company, including the displays and posts with retractable belts.<\/p>\n

    Blow was the first line to be realized, and it is composed by shaped bases with a removable arrow, customizable in color. 3D aspect of the signals, that seems to inflate like a bubble, orientate visitors through the rooms in a simple and effective way. Short time later two other lines were developped, regarding privacy posts, both characterized by expressive forms and multitasking capabilities in different configurations. <\/p>\n

    Comoglio Architects from Turin excelled in different contests dedicated to new product design. In 2009 it was mentioned in competition “L’arte di illuminare l’arte” by Biffi Luce, with a concept of a modular lamp that could recreate branched compositions on ceiling or walls. <\/p>\n

    In the same year the office was awarded with the third prize at “Matitalia 150” competition by Fila, with the idea of a magnetized pencil that becomes a playful and interactive product.<\/p>\n

    In 2011 it obtained second prize at competition “laqualit\u00e0elostile” by WTS group, figuring a tap model with a dynamic shape.<\/p>\n

    In current times the studio is working on several projects regarding product design, including a new kind of sunshade umbrella for FIM company, and a few innovative wall clocks.<\/p>\n
