About This Project

The conversion of a commercial space into a living space has led to a general rethinking: the only opening on the street partially lights a unique surface developped in depth with ceilings of considerable height. Due to the impossibility of dividing the space for the lack of natural lighting, the renovation structures the inner space on different levels, with a mezzanine integrated in the living space and furnishings to order and privatize the various functions. The access to the living space is moved from the street to the inner courtyard, to create a block with the toilet and night zone. The wide window in facade is modified to valorize the affinity with commercial showcases aside, matching the same finishing of frames and external carters.
