SERMIG – ACCOGLIENZA FEMMINILE “COME NOI”

About This Project

In 2016 Sermig Foundation expressed his will to reuse a pavilion of the disused Military Arsenal, to create a new facility dedicated to women hospitality. The industrial building is a wide open space, in abandoned state, but funcionally linked to other buildings previously renovated by the association in past years. Intervention allows to recover the whole volume duplicating the surface by inserting a new floor: at ground floor level are located collective functions, while the first floor obtained by new slab is organized with rooms and residential spaces. Design tries to coniugate the original aspect of the building, like the high windows and the roof sheds, with functional needs of the inner spaces, promoting accessibility and flexibility requirements.
