About This Project

A 4-storey housing arranges 71 apartments, all of them formed by 1 or 2 bedrooms. The ‘L’ shaped layout involves a rigid scheme that offer the possibility to arrange a sequence of modular units in order to optimize the built space and maximize the living surface.
The topic of repetition shown in plan is counterbalanced on elevations, where the regulare sequence of windows and terraces is dynamized by a variety of elements: protruding boxes outline variable frames around the windows. Different dimensions and  splays generates an alternating rythm of the facades, though it recurs uniformly around the whole complex.
This way over the elementary solid that confine the housing,  a second stratification of planes and volumes overlays the facades. Clear and dark frames generate a different depth of  shadows and reflections, a chromatic and formal variety, not easy to be found in this kind of interventions.
